Philly Solidarity is excited to be teaming up with 3 amazing creatives to host a photography and content creation workshop for Philly youth passionate about sneaker culture.
Sneaker culture has been bringing people from diverse communities together for decades. Our mission at Philly Solidarity is not only to empower the AAPI community but to also strengthen solidarity across communities of color. We’ll talk about everything from sneakers, social media, future careers, and more with the discussion being led by Philly content creators Jerome Whitfield, Justine Hong and Luis Ledesma. The workshop will also include a hands-on portion in which Jerome and Luis will demonstrate how to take photos in order to take creative content to the next level. This exclusive workshop is free but will be limited to 8 participants. Applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:
-Must be currently enrolled in the Philadelphia School District
-Be between the ages of 13 – 16 as of October 1st, 2021
-Submit a completed application between October 4th and October 15th
-Have permission from a parent or legal guardian
Location is in the Logan Square neighborhood of Philly and will be easily accessible from 30th St station. Location will only be disclosed to participants selected.
