A Year with Philly Solidarity

Weโ€™re a group of friends that came together in 5 days for Philly Rally for Solidarity in response to the March 16th shootings in Atlanta and realized afterwards that we have the power to give people in our community the voice that has been silenced.

First Yearโ€™s Accomplishments

Lessons Learned

  • Be careful of wording cause they can be taken the wrong way

  • Itโ€™s okay to make mistakes. Weโ€™re new at this and learning

  • Itโ€™s important to constantly ask ourselves if the next thing we are doing aligns with our mission to amplify, inspire, and unite

Goals for the Next Year

  • Bring our focus back to amplifying, inspiring, uniting the community

  • Build more impactful initiatives with and for the community

  • Grow youth programming (kicks, food, etc.)

  • Involved more of those in the community who wants to help in whatever way possible
